I have pretty much decided that I will be living in the Lone Palm Apts. or The Lofts at Albert Park. These are both in San Rafael and I hear really good things about the both of them. I was just going to put a good word out for others who want to live outside the city. I also want to have a Car Pool set up as I hear that it is better to car pool with other students in the same year as you b/c everyone is on the same schedule. I know that there is a good number of third years moving out of both of these locations so hopefully that will make room for the rest of us. Let me know what some of you think. Thanks.

My wife and I are hoping for the Presidio but if we don't "win the lottery" for them, we like Deer Valley Apartments. Those are less than ten minutes from the Lofts. My wife has looked into the Lofts too - nice but awfully small for our growing family. As far as Lone Palm, she really wants a washer/dryer and that complex has a laundry room. Some other apartment complexes that we looked at in San Rafael are Highlands of Marin, McInnis Park, and Deer Park. Just FYI in case anyone else is looking for places to live in San Rafael.
As far as carpooling goes, it is a must. Everyone we talked to said to carpool with people in your same year of school too. Not only does it save on gas but it saves on the bridge toll too. I may just take you up on that offer, depending on where we end up.

You guys may want to keep this stuff in the Pacific thread, but if I don't win the lottery I'll be keeping all options open as to where I'm going to live and how I'm going to get to school 😛

So the mansion is definitely out? Too bad for Jeeves.

Too far away to be practical, I guess the majority of them are in Palo Alto.

I guess we could get one in Pacific Heights if people are willing to double up on rooms...

I will need to look into deer valley. I know D3's in The Lofts and Lone Palm and for that reason I have thought about those complexes. My wife and I are going to have a kid in July so Pacific apartments are out of the question. I read in the Pacific thread that the apartments across the street from the school might get some openings. All of us D1's that end up in Marin need to keep in contact so that we can get a car pool going. I will switch this subject over to the normal Pacific thread so that more people get involved. Thanks.
