panic.. am I too late?

Hi guys,

I was planning on submitting my app in early july but things happened in life so it got delayed significantly. I could probably esubmit the coming monday.

Since it takes weeks for your GPA to be verified, the dental schools will only receive my app in mid-late Aug. I am scared that it is too late.

Do you think I should apply to more school to compensate for this?

Any comment would be appreciated.

If you have good stats, you probably aren't too late. Its hard enough to advise given that we can't see your whole app, but without your gpa/dat and what schools you are applying to we can't be of any help...

You are fine, its your only option so there's nothing you can change now. Just submit ASAP and good luck.

It may not be a bad idea to apply to more schools, but if you have good stats this isn't too late at all. I have had a few friends who had 3.5+ and 20+ apply in july and august and they still got interviews like my friends with similar stats who applied in june, the only difference was that the ones who applied in june got interview invites in august and september and the late ones got interviews in october and november. However, I had a friend with average stats, 3.3 and 18AA who applied late and got no invites for an interview whereas some people with stats like that get interviews if they apply early.
That's just my limited observation from a few friends who applied last year. So if you have great stats don't worry, if your stats are average, maybe add a few schools.

My stats: 3.6 cGPA, 3.7 sGPA, 23TA, 22AA, 22 PAT.
But I am international.....

I am applying to 8 private schools. Should I add more?

As you already know, your stats are great and no, you are not late (just get it in ASAP). Schools don't fill their seats right away, so no, don't add schools unless you have a lot of money, or perhaps your application is weak with volunteering, etc.
