i think histones divide during 'S' phase of interphase when dna is getting ready to participate in mitosis.

answer : Phase S pretty sure of it. with exception of very very few genes that are not S-phase regulated.
the qs in other words when DNA replicates in cell cycle.

its its " mid -S " phase, phase of synthesis, where cell is highly active and all synthesis n replication , primary activity takes place .
