Part 1 score report after 2007 jan (new format)

hey guys,

i think majority of the sdn members have taken NBDE part1 in new format after January 2007 and received their score reports.

i would appreciate if you guys can tell me how is the composite score presented on your score report (coz mine is a 2006 old format).

in old format reports each subject has a score and a final avg score.


any input is really appreciated

The new score report gives you your raw scores for each individual section along with the national mean for each section. A composite score is then derived from these. The composite score is standardized according to the pre-set grading scale. So, in most cases, one's overall composite score is higher than most, if not all, of their raw scores. (i.e. My raw scores were Anatomic Sciences: 66, Biochem/Physio: 79, Micro/Path: 75 DA/Occlusion: 83.....Composite Score: 87.) Hope this makes sense. It's late and I'm trying to get my 2-month-old to stay asleep.
