part b vaccines

question for the independent guys/ ladies out here. im just about to begin my stores immunization " program" . what do you have to do to bill part b for flu and pneumo? do you need to contract with a third party ? if so are there fees/ is it worth it? thanks in advance

I'll help out: according to the cdc getting a flu shot will reduce the risk of getting the flu by 50 to 60%. Clearly everyone should get a flu shot.

don't post much anywhere on internet. probably because full of losers who just want to say stupid ****. oh well foolish of me to have tried. prime examples of why this profession will keep going down. way to help each other.

Haha, damn dude. Relax. We are joking about a notorious poster that derails any thread that contains the word "vaccine." Eventually someone that knows the answer to your question will come along and post.
 
Emdeon and OmniSYS are examples of companies that process Part B claims for pharmacies. Walmart and CVS (the latter IIRC based on the audit sheets) use OmniSYS. (I don't know if this is company-wide as I've worked only in the Pacific time zone.) Walmart is similar to pharmacies that use PDX in that "payer" identification is carrier code-oriented.
