Hey guys I thought of arranging the forum a bit by making a thread for each section for NBDE part one.... so if any body got any questions or need help in or got new useful infromation wana share in Physiology writes here......... 🙂 hope that would make it easy for everybody planning to take part one soon .. (like me 😳 )

supraoptic ans paraventricular nuclei of hypothalamus if i am not wrong

Thanks for ur input Swetha🙂 . According to my notes oxytocin is produced primarily in paraventricular and ADH primarily in supraoptic nuclei of hypothalamus. I need to check it again.

well even i had thought that d ans was 2) hypothalmic nuclei
but well in the answer key it turned out to be 1) cells of posterior hypophysis

i guess the answer key must be wrong then.....by the way this question was from released booklet I-B , question number 51 .

it is not synthesized in the pr pituatary but stored

you are rigt but sympathetic system get activated to increase blood pressure.

oh yes ,sympathetic system stimulates heart---------increases muscles contractility,heart rate,CO--------------so pulse rate will increase

Swetha, if its "and" in your answer then you are right!

ADh is secreted by both the supraoptic and paraventricular nucleus and stored in the post. pitutary.
