PAS reaction is postive for cells/cell component that have a carbohydrate/sugar moiety in thm. pas reaction is postive for cewll memberanes that have high glycoprotein conten or GAG/GLYCOLIPID CONTENT.. so among the following options its only brush broder that has a high mucin/mucous content WHICH IS HIGH IN CARBOHYDRATE MOIETY... HENCE GIVES A POSTIVE PAS REACTION.

u r right but it also stains nucleus,, go to histology term in wikipedua and check the table..

I checked out the cloumn u mentioned...

it IS SIMPLY MENTIONED THAT PAS STAINING WOULD GIVE A BLUE COLOR TO NUCLEUS.WHEREAS THE PAS REACTION IS POSTIVE WHEN IT PRODUCES A CHARACTERISTIC MAGENTA STAIN.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_acid-Schiff_stain

ALSO THE CLOUMN CLEARLY MENTIONS THAT SPECIALTY OF PAS STAINING IS GLU/GLYCOGEN.. WHICH GIVE MAGENTA.. WHILE STUFF LIKE NUCLEI WOULD GIVE BLUE.

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.
