How bad is it to take a non-science, non-major class pass or no pass?
 
It doesn't really matter. Just don't make it a habit.
 
If you just do it once or twice, it's not a big deal.
 
Definitely not a big deal. Not passing? Still not that big a deal, oddly enough. It's called "self-enrichment".
 
I took an entire quarter pass/fail (3 classes total), plus a couple of other smaller classes in years earlier. No one cared. 🙂
 
if you are just taking the class as an elective (not counting towards your major graduation requirements) and just for the sake of learning, then it shouldnt be a problem... it may in fact be in your favor, as it shows a desire to learn
