I really thought that test ate my lunch (and it probably knocked my score down to just barely passing), but who cares: PASS! Too bad the fraudulent anesthesiology "attending" is no longer around to talk about the boards.

Big congrats. Well deserved! Now...how's attending life going?

It rocks. Yesterday did two off pump CABG's on patients with private insurance. Room time at 8:30. A line, cordis, PAC, TEE in. Cut time 8:54. First CABG done by 10:50, second by 14:00. Did a 45 minute lap band after that, was on the links by 15:30. Promptly hit a person in the group ahead of us with my beautiful slice. Stopped after 8 holes because temp was 102 deg.

Tonight, going out to dinner at the Mansions of Turtle Creek, paid for by drug rep. Tomorrow heading down to Austin to watch Texas football home game. Sunday and Monday off. Life is tough. 😀 😀 😀

I'm trying to behave, but it's getting harder. The Mansions has great food, but a little too stuffy, prim, and proper for this country boy. All of you young guys will reach this point soon enough so stay positive, don't let other people drag you down, and always stay on or above the learning curve. If you do, nothing in your future will suprise you and you will have the confidence and skills to make you the best candidate you can possibly be.
