In a typical class, what is the breakdown of the class in terms of the evaluation. Do ur PBL;s count for a lot? and do u have to attain a passing grade on an exam in order to pass the block, or do u have to just attain the passing grade in the class?? thanks

Hard to know what you are asking. If a class is totally PBL based, then PBL counts for it all. If part of it is PBL, then PBL counts for part. If it is exam based, then exams count for it all. You have to end up with an overall passing score to pass a class. That may mean you can fail a given test and bail it out with other higher grades. "evaluations" are things you generally only get in the clinical years, and can count for a large portion of your grade.

We had to do both.

OP-
This will vary from school to school. You'll get the answer in your school and grading syllabus. Some schools/classes will put more emphasis on PBL, some don't, some will grade, some you won't even have to show up to.
