My school is lame. They always have these combined graduations with pods, pa's, etc. I just found out that we'll only be getting 8 tickets for graduation (7 really since one goes to us). Now I don't care much about the ceremony, but this is really a family event and I have more than 7 people that want to come. I know I'll score tickets from others who won't use them, but this is part of the reason why we all wanted seperate ceremonies.

I've struck an agreement with my girlfriend that if I go to my bachelors graduation in Kansas, she won't say anything if I skip every other pointless feel good event for the rest of my life.

Will.. Here is what you do.. you and every friend you have asks for 4 extras... my buds did this last yr it turns out only 1 extra was needed amongst all of us. The rest were given back to the school or given to other people. this is the best way.

The best part is that we go last and the ovation is by far the loudest!

I'm on Trauma surgery next month, nice I could squeeze this in as an elective in my prelim med year! I picked a 5 week month/block to do it too, nice!

Then anesthsia which is pretty easy. hours are relaxed.... you did trauma electively? are you insane? 😀

haha yeah, but the trauma surgeon i'm working with is one of the nicest 'doctors' i have ever met and he is very laid back in what type of schedule I want to do. Remember this is an IM prelim year without any er residents, so most procedures are fair game for me haha. But yeah its this or optho/derm which to me is tooooo much clinic haha.
 
One more final to go for me and who knows...I may be drunk posting tomorrow 😉 Probably not joking though...
 
It's dangerous when a bar offers all you can drink in two hours for $10. I may be set for the rest of the night after that (starts at 8pm).
 
Oh, and for those that feel like thinking intellectually, what would cause a teenage female to not sense her BMs? Still has control of bladder, on anti-epileptics, but no recent change in doses or meds. I haven't done GI yet, but heard of the complaint, and asked a few questions with of course no answers.

Maybe she has Potts. Is she from Africa?

Also, where is this magical bar you speak of? Is that for girls only?

Try my school, where we only get 4 tickets (not including our own selves).
 
My school has open seating for graduation.
However, for the hooding, which is a separate event, we also have open seating, but it is in a room with maybe 200 seats. So, get there early I guess. It also isn't air conditioned.

That sucks. Is it in a gym by any chance? Seems like the perfect place for a pass out fest. Kidneys anyone?
 
You spend way too much time on that cruiser. How do you still have a girlfriend?
 
Girlfriend? What's that? Just kidding. I'm single right now. Too much dramas from the last one. I'm looking forward to the start of next semester when no one really knows each other and I can swoop in like a hawk. The first two weeks of classes are the best time to meet new girls. That's a proven fact. No offense to any girls who might be reading this. 🙂
 
No laws that I know of that say you even have to have a horn. You can wire your siren to your horn button as well. If you have a siren. So I've heard anyway. [sneaks away]

But yeah, you don't have to have a button.

Same here. Positive; everything in the cruiser works. negative; the fan belt just broke. :laugh: :laugh: Oh well, the cruiser is going to be safety checked and registered tomorrow. Then I can go pretty much anywhere on this island. 🙂

You need to get the James Bond underwater kit. Then you can take it to other islands.

Besides, unless you plan on shipping it over to the mainland, you're going to have to sell it for residency. Or make your own residency.

Opened up a case of Sam Adams Winter Special tonight. Not just the Winter Ale, but some others (Ol' Fezziwig, Cranberry Lambic). It is very nice.

So glad to see I didn't drunk post last night. Don't remember much...good thing I have a roommate who told me what happened. In her words "you were fine one minute then I turned around and you were extremely drunk". Thanks harpo's punch...worse than long islands but tastes better. I even told someone else they could sleep in my bed and I'd sleep on the couch...don't know how I ended up in the bed and they went to the couch, but oh well.
 
We even bought a keg from someone in the back of the bar...after we did our 2-hour power hour.
 
Good thing I had Vit B last night...no hangover. I have to do my Christmas shopping now.
 
Glad to see the break is HERE!
