My friend and I were having a debate...he says pathoma is far too little detail for boards and its only very elementary basics.
This true? I didn't think so, seems detailed to me..help me plz! thx
He's right, Pathoma is just good for getting the basic understanding and big picture. You gotta fill in the details yourself.
I'm talking purely as a board review. I'm reading big robbins for school (its required)

For board review, it's fine, but sometimes knowing the physiology helps strengthen the concepts. So those extra "details" can make a big difference sometimes. For me, I gotta understand how everything works, I don't like memorizing. Many books leave out the physiology b/c they think it's too much detail, but I think that detail actually helped me remember the other things.

Pathoma isn't about memorizing.
I didn't say it was. My point is that you can have a BETTER understanding by going out of your way to learn just a bit more than the minimum.
Why does everyone say that you can use nothing but Pathoma and score 250 on boards? Problem officer?
Don't spread yourself too thin with resources though.
