I was messing with the moderator controls to try to merge those two threads together and severely messed it up. No idea how it happened or why, but somehow I cannot reverse course. So the threads are reproduced below.
To pathpiano: You see, you need to elaborate a little more and instead of just asking a random question, especially one about lifestyle in which you can't even get the name of the field right (which implies the only thing you know about the field is that you hear it pays well or you can get a job doing it).
To answer your question though, hematopathologists work similar hours to every other pathologist. You can work very little if you want, but if you want a real salary and real benefits you would have to work something akin to full time. Maybe once you got established you could set your own hours more. I would wager most work 5 days a week.
And the best place for fellowship is as the wise gutshot said, the place that is best for you. If you need to ask what place is best for you, you need to supply more information as to what you are looking for (besides minimal work for higher pay and better hours).
Sorry if I sound preachy. But I get sick of lifestyle questions.
On a slightly unrelated note, how did you pick the name pathpiano? I used to play the piano more before I moved into a condo where I don't have room for a piano. Now I am out of practice and frankly, probably I suck.

what is the place place for hemapath?

The best place for hematopathology (a.k.a. hemepath) is whatever place is best for you.
