"I'm still a pre-med (unfortunately) and won't be applying for another two years most likely. Currently my qualifications are as follows:
-Certified Respiratory Therapist (w/ aeromedical experience)
-Echocardiographer (a couple of years experience from when I was in the military and about to the certification exam (finally have the money to do so)
-EMT-Intermediate

I run as a volunteer EMT-I and I also work part time for a small ambulance service but my "main" job (where I make most of my income) is as a funeral director's assistant and this (mortuary science) is actually one of my current majors in school for the simple fact that EMS doesn't pay worth a damn, I hate being a neb jockey and can't stand the immaturity and short-sightedness of most RT's (although I still pick up an occasional shift every now and then when the RT department directors kiss my a-- enough and pay me enough money to make me cave in), and I need a way to provide for myself and my family so I figure- why not embalm people?

I'm sorry for you. With the exception of X2, BB is by FAR the greatest comic book movie out there. The problem with it that I see is that SO many people miss the fact that it's also a good MOVIE movie. Not just a good comic book movie. They don't give it a fair chance based on it's history

oh, i was enjoying it.....but after a string of overnight shifts and three glasses of wine.....well, i didn't stand a chance....i will finish it later though....

Did you ask you SO what she likes about it?
For me it's the crazy lengths the shows producers/writers go to make a world of mystery with the most amazing little connections and links between different characters back stories. Usually you watch a show and then you MIGHT wait for the next week and watch it again. With lost you find yourself. watching it, watching it again with parts in slow motion..... reading the synopsises (sp?) on the net and then rewatching it againg to see what you STILL missed. Then sitting their rackin you brain to figure out what it all means. It's like TV to the 10th power. The only bad thing I can say about the show is that if you are reading this and haven't been watching but want too it's a hard road to catch up. Because of it's intracisy and detailed plots if you didn't get in on the ground floor (1st season) then it's tough to play catch up...... But it's SOOOO worth it.

yeah the SO is way into the intricate plots....i just don't think she is aware of the internet aspect of ..... i will ask her though.....

Don't forget to add TOLLS to the expense list. There is a tollbooth like every 5 miles on I-88. 😡

1st off there is no way I could imagine failing this thing. I am good with patients (per 3rd yr and 4th yr evals) and going into EM is a good way of having this experience since you see patients with all sorts of different complaints.

Well no not really, I should have the results by Mid March and I would be able to take it again right at that time (assuming I could find a spot) then I would have the answer by mid May. If I fail I will have one more shot (with score) at it before I start my residency somewhere in July.

I am sure you will rock it without difficulty. Just a few thoughts I will comment on. With disclaimers: I would probably not post at all if furthering this conversation wouldn't help in the cause of toping those path posting phreaks. I post now only to help motivate, not to try and scare. (Though sometimes there is a fine line between the two eh?)

I haven't climbed much outside of indoor climbing gyms in the past couple of years. Indiana isn't exactly a climber's paradise and for SOME reason 😉 the Indiana State Police get really cranky when you start climbing roadcuts along the highway to keep in practice.

I'm hoping to more to a more conducive area in the next year or so, and that has driven me back to the gym to get back into peak physical condition.....

I am blessed in that my GF is truly one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. I am cursed in that she thinks she is one of the ugliest. I tell her often that the only defect on her body is her eyes. They obviously don't work when she looks in a mirror.
The more I think about it though I kinda do this to myself because I don't like a beautiful girl who knows she is beautiful. They usually end up being big beeotches! 😱 Please excuse my potty mouth.
