I know we had a thread on here earlier about good pre residency books.

There was one Cards book that I heard from others was real good. I think Quinn said he read it. The author I believe had a hispanic last name..

Anyone?

I sure hope so. I also hope that the constant walking and movement of the ED will keep me slim up 'til retirement. I don't mind getting old (too much, yet) but I DON'T wanna get FAT!!!!

4K by match day? In March? We are at 4323 (last tally, it's less now, I'm sure) as of now. If we continue at a catch-up rate of 20 posts per day, we could kill the 4000 mark by the end of the month!!! We could kill the 3500 mark by match day!!!

Honestly, I've mostly been reading novels instead of any academic-type reading. I've got both step 2 scores back & feel quite lazy. I've also been knitting and cross-stitching, but that's probably quite foreign to you. 😉
 
No I dont knit or cross stitch.. Not my thing.. Im more of a poker and football kinda guy. Of course most of my free time is spent with the LL (little lady)
 
I like cross-stitching. The only problem is that I get caught up in it, look up, and it's 3 AM. I've actually passed entire Friday nights that way. And friends call me the next day asking me where I was. And I stammer, "Uh, uh, uh, I fell asleep?"

I guess I still feel I have an image to maintain. 😛
 
Congrats on # 100!!!! Im working to 5K... looong way to go! maybe by the end of residency!
 
speaking of images to maintain....we are still eagerly awaiting the image of socuteMD!!
 
Although I'm starting to wonder if we should start a new post-pad thread. One that doesn't reveal our "plan" to path in the title. What if they catch on and start really trying to beat us? I mean, goodness knows that they have WAY more time on their hands than we do!!!! (Case in point: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=234818)

They are too busy with their eyes in a microscope to notice. Of course a few of them have come on here to actually help us!
 
I hate using a microscope.

It always gives me a headache.

A guy in my class had vertigo or something, and he couldn't use a microscope for any extended period of time. Which is a real problem when you have to take a timed practical.
 
Actually, if I had started med school straight out of college I'd be in my 2nd year of residency by 2009.
 
But then again, I had the most fabulous two years EVER.

Except for the whole falling in love, moving away, getting dumped on my ass thing.
 
(Looks down, pauses). Oh wait, I'm actually smaller now 🙂.
 
And that's probably enough personal info about this chica tonight!!!

Actually if I had started med school straight from college I would be in my 3rd yr of residency right now.

I traveled the US while I worked. made some sweet money and lived life. many of my friends that went right to med school say they wished they took time off.. I have no regrets!

Ive slept like 5 hours a night over the last month for no good reason.. and I just got back from Miami this morning!

I've slept like ten hours a night for this whole break for no good reason. Need to break that habit!
