True story:
"Medic one- respond to *bad side of town* for OD"
at the scene, i had to ask which one is the patient...which is a BAD sign! A lady raises her hand and i ask if she took anything. she said yeah. I had to ask what and she said tylenol. I asked her how many she took and she said 2!!!! before i could stop myself, i asked her if she ever read the side of the bottle. i really don't know what i was thinking...we were in BFE and likely she couldn't read, but anyway, she said she was trying to kill herself. i had to walk away and let my partner handle that one. no code 3 return on that one...left her @$$ there and had her sign the waiver form. gotta love rural EMS.

I told my wife if I dont match where she is, then ill just spend my paycheck at strip clubs 😀... Nah.. she would move.. As long as your SO is flexible I dont see it being that big of a deal.. Maybe I dont get it..

Is that how they do it at your home institution beary? Must be slow (im refraining from saying your home institution)..

BTW did you think it was weird that they made eveyrone cover up their school logos and names for the Step 2 cs.. Weird...

I thought that was really unusual. She wasn't there very long (maybe 10-12 hours). I think they thought she may have taken something else as well, and she was pretty out of it (guess 3 Ambien does that :meanie: ) Usually the MICU/SICU/PICU/NICU are all super busy with very sick pts since we are a tertiary referral center for a pretty big region.

Yeah, it was super weird at the Step 2 CS. If those people are so biased as to allow somebody's name/school to influence them, maybe that indicates a problem. 😡

Ah, the wonders of living in the dorms....******* people (the kind who give minorities a bad rep) standing in the hall repeatedly making the point of "Yo dawg, that's ****ed up!! ****ed up dawg!! ****ed up!!" I seriously mean it, that was the entire conversation for the five minutes after I got woken up by it. I stuck my head out the door and stated, "Look, I'm trying to sleep. The only thing that's ****ed up is my attitude if I don't get sleep. If my attitude gets ****ed up, then people might just get ****ed up. OK?" The guys quieted down.

Hehhe, during my lunch yesterday I listened to this girl have a conversation at the table behind me. She said "like, seriously" a total of 9 times within the 10 minutes it took me to finish my meal. I was bursting out laughing by the end every time she said it, and people were looking at me like I was a lunatic. :laugh:
