i do root for the suns, but for the last 3 years have been a pistons fan, long before i know where i was going.

CS_22 IS a classmate of mine...he's actually my golfing buddy. he told me that you gave him some invaluable advice re: St Louis. He's eternally grateful.
 
He's a good dude... Suns... well I guess we will see.. needless to say the Heat have been disappointing this post season...Maybe the Suns will do it but IMO it is gonna be one of the Texas teams and Detroit.... The suns are fun to see in person... I saw them play vs the Clippers this yr at the Staples Center... Half Court 17 rows up... Sweet.... Nash is the man... Though like I said.. No Amare means no Finals IMO..

Suns... Well I think they beat LA but I did say I think they would have a hard time... Props to Kobe for not being a ball hog so his team can win..

On an aside, rooting means "f***ing" in Australia. Aussies always giggle when us Yanks say we are rooting for someone. Random knowledge for those of us who aren't studying medicine right now.

I went to bed at 11, slept 'til 7, I'm almost a third of the way through my target studying for the day even though I made breakfast, a pot of coffee, and drove to school to study.

It's gonna be a GREAT day 🙂.
 
target studying? ok, usually people go for screensavers, but hey, if the circles with numbers are your thing, go for it! 😉 me, i have to go drive for the next 7-8 hours, so my ass is hurting in advance.

Mornin' Northern Hemispherians.

It's neither. If you're rooting for the Suns, for example, you would be having intercourse FOR them. Maybe as a good luck gesture or something. If you are rooting with them, you are having intercourse with them (side by side or something). That would be kind of weird though.

I am glad I can contaminate minds all over the world.

yeah...ouch is right. i HATE kobe bryant. not as a person, cuz i don't know him, just as a player. he's good, i respect his skills, but he's killin' me with the last second heroics that he does with such ease. arghhh....

anyhow, at least my bulls won. yeah kirk heinrich (go jayhawks!!!).

on to a different subject
has anyone ever been to puerta vallarta, the virgin islands or st. barts. i am looking for a nice all-inclusive vacation before residency starts. suggestions???? must be warm, beachy, all-inclusive. i do not want aruba or the bahamas.

also, do you need a passport to go to mexico. one of my best friends traveled to cancun several years ago (before 9.11) and didn't have a passport. is this still the case?
 
Just +pad+ yeah i just hate the player.. i dont know him.. He is amazing which is why I hate him. Dont know about the whole vacation thing but good luck..If you want info on the passport call the airlines or the state dept.

You just need your birth certificate + driver's liscense. If you have the time though, get a passport- much easier to deal with and lasts like 10 years...
 
Yeah- pretty cheap. Also, it's a good thing to have for any kind of official ID thing...

As for Puerto Vallarto- if I had the choice, I would go to another place in Mexico like Cozumel or Playa del Carmen. Never been to St. Barts, but would love to go. From that list it would be a hands down number 1. Mexico, though is aways cheaper and the people can't be beat- I love it!

You're going to Tucson right? Meixco should be almost as cheap from there (I'm assuming you meant Mexico) as is from Texas. You should also consider the Dominican Republic. The beaches are better than Mexico (if it's possible) and the country is not yet tainted by massive tourism... The wife and I went to Punta Cana last Summer and absolutely loved it.
 
I was supposed to go to the DR this yr.. never happened.. the DR is real close to my hometown of Miami.. Hopefully ill be able to make it to the DR and Mexico in the next few yrs..

The way we did it during med school was to plan the trip the minute we found out our vacation schedules. That way we had something to look forward to and didn't have time to put it off for something less important! Good luck...

Me and the mrs did this and went to Paris.. we were torn between that and the carribean... we figure it is easier to get to the carribean or mexico than going to europe...

I would agree. We haven't made any trips to Europe yet for that very reason. Plus, I really enjoy sitting in a pool with a swim-up bar! Also, you can't beat a 7 day all-inclusive trip for 2 for $2500.
