I never liked glasses - such as they would always be falling down my nose and I pushing them up, or wrinkling the nose for same purpose and getting a HA.

Mine was $1k/eye because I had to have what this office termed "custom lasik" using some extra programs including one that mapped my iris and tracked it during the procedure so that they could properly correct my funky-shaped astigmatism. As a resident at an affiliated program, I paid about 45% of the full-price at that office. If I hadn't needed the custom lasik, it would've been somewhat less than $750/eye (I think the basic is around $500/eye).

Only a few days until my graduation! Completely nuts!!! Then the move of course 😀
 
oh and we close on our house tomorrow. but since we signed all the papers it doesnt really matter...
 
Im playing a little bit of letter linker which is my latest challenge..

I've always suspected this, but never was brave enough to come out with the allegation. But who am I kidding, I'm Jack Bauer, I can destroy that machine, but won't for the good of the EM forum!

Oh yeah, graduation was last week. I know I know, a real doctor should not be referring himself/herself as Jack Bauer -- but I just can't get used to the idea of it still. The other day I went to get my hair cut and she asked me what I do....I just couldnt get myself to say doctor stuff, I was lame and said I'm a medical student ahhaah. Oh well, I'll get better with it.

Thank you thank you. I know most would never have thought this day would come, but I couldnt' have done it without the caring love of my parents and brother. Also, I would like to say thanks to all my teachers in undergrad and all of my instructors throughout medical school who were there for every question I had. I would like to thank my dog, spike, who without his warm comfort after a long night of studying, would never have been able to continue my 1st and 2nd years. Without my friends I would never have been able to get through the years without being able to play tennis, ultimate frisbee, flag football, frisbee golf. I would also like to give a special thanks to all my producers who have been there day in and day out helping me produce, and to the directors who have been there helping me direct. This production would never have been the same without all the talented actors and actresses, or without the casting director. Thank you very much.
