I think we should revamp our entire education system so that no introductory courses need to be taken in college.

Of course performance in high school is not a direct indicator of performance in college. You have to do the work to get good grades.

I could have taken a placement test for ICS 101 and probably pass with flying colors. Instead, I took the class, never went to class, did a minimum of work, actually skipped the midterm, and ended up with a D.

Well, if you have a healthy population of coyotes (or stray dogs) and vultures, yes.
