Click to expand... HPSP - ENS O-1 Graduating Med School - LT O-3 6 years later LCDR O-4 6 years later CDR O-5 6 years later CAPT O-6 You get promoted about every six years. LT to LCDR is almost automatic if you keep your nose clean and are not fat. LCDR to CDR is a little harder but still most likely. CDR to CAPT has gotten to the 50/50 range Above CAPT is only for the truly driven and unlikely even for those.
