Hey guys I just got my results on Friday.
Verbal 98
Reading 69
Math 88
Bio 84
Chem 39
Comp 85
I know my chemistry is really bad, but you guys think that I stand a chance. My GPA is like 3.7....
My science GPA is little bit lower..Its like a 3.5
I just finished taking Gen Chem 2 in summer and am currently taking Org 1....
The colleges that I want to apply to are University of Georgia and Mercer...
Thanks

Yeah, you should def. apply, and ya know, taking the exam over again can't hurt. You also have to take into consideration the idea that schools also look at your extracurriculars, volunteering.. etc. So long as you have a well rounded resume you'll be fine, but with a 85 and 3.7 GPA, you're almost a shoe in. Just make sure you have some extracurriculars under your belt that way it doesn't make your resume seem boring. I had a friend get a 90 on the PCAT have a 3.6 math and science gpa and get turned away b/c he hadn't done anything else. Good Luck!

Thanks guys...I was really scare especially for mercer since they do not accept the jan pcat....After doing some researchers and meeting with counselors, I would honestly have to say that im prob not gonna get accepted in UGA..but I think i have a strong chance in mercer..oh well...how about u guys...did ya'll already finish applying...

don't write off UGA yet....where's your hometown (if you're an instate GA resident)? Although it's not weighed heavily, it does affect your application if you're from a rural/inner city area instead of metro Atlanta (like the other 97% of UGA students, lol). You're stats look great-especially the GPA portion.

Did you already apply to Mercer? If not hurry and finish it-I was told by their admissions counselors that the earlier, the much better your chances are of getting in.

thanks...i live in lawrenceville, ga......i actually go to uga and finished the prereqs from uga....so im assuming that i should have a preference....????yeah ill be done applying to mercer by end of next week....

3.7 and 85 is about average for most schools
you may want to try and get your math/science GPA up a bit though...

Hey who did you talk to and what did they tell you that makes you think you have no shot at UGA?

I geusss i was wrong..i looked up my pharmcas gpa and they had given me a 3.85..surpised..yeah?? however uga calculated my overall gpa to be an excat 3.78....i wonder why they were different...anyway. i do plan on taking the pcat in jan....the counselor at uga tol dme gallantly...lol...that my pcat was 5 points lower than the average and the pcat was somehow weighed more than the gpa fo rthe interviews????

I think your stats are really good. You seem to be competitive enough, especially if you get the 5 points you need. Good luck for the PCAT!

im plannin on taking it in Jan, and im bad at verbal
thankss in advance

oh for verbal i did a lot of practice analogies and sentence completetion..Also look at this websute
www.freerice.com
its really good in imporving your vocab.....plus the more questions you get right it advances you on to harder ones....
good luck

I think you're probably you got a 60% chance in getting UGA, I dont know much about mercer. Those are pretty decent scores but I know uga pharmacy school is very hard and competitive. I am actually also a undergrad sopho at uga. I got a similar gpa but i haven't taken my PCAT yet but I doubt it'll be as good as yours the first time round. You can always look into other schools... there are plenty of schools that have taken people that have had lower stats than yours. Not all phar schools need a 90 composite and a 3.75+ gpa.

Hey!!! I actually got my interview letter from UGA!!! SO EXCITED....At first I thought it was a rejection letter...I did not even know they started the interview selection THIS EARLY...last year my friend go his interview letter around mid March??
