PCO letter recieved

😕 Hello everyone, since you guys have been so helpful in the past i was wondering if i am making too much out of this. I got a letter from PCO stating that
"although a decision regarding an interview can be made before all credentials are recieved, it is your responsibility to make certain that the Office of Admissions has the items indicated (LOR's, OAT scores, Official Transcripts). We cannot submit your file to the Admissions Committee for final review until all credentials are recieved.

I am probably blowing this out of proportion but it seems that if they can grant an interview to me before getting all my official documents in (which i will be done sending this coming week) and they arent granting me one it seems that they arent going to even if they recieve all the stuff.

If all my grades are there, other than my OAT score and stuff like that does that mean that what they see isnt good enough? Or is the letter just a friendly reminder for me to make sure to getall the necessary paper work to them as soon as possible?

I think they just want you to send in that stuff... they might grant you an interview...but meanwhile they want that stuff asap...

I do not think it is as bad as you think it is...just send it your stuff...maybe they have not given ANYONE interviews yet...I am sure they will concider you with the rest when setting interview dates(and it they don't concider you with the rest...thats a diff story, it is not because of what this letter says)

so don't worry...send the rest of the stuff...and they will hopefully get back to you soon! MAYBE even before you send your stuff...

Yeah try not to worry to much about it. This is what I took from reading that information they sent you...

You can still be considered for an interview before they receive all your information, but a final decision regarding acceptance (final review from the Admissions Committee) can't be made until they have all of your info for your file.

hi,
i was under the impression that LORs are extremely important when reviewing an application. so LORs need to be submitted before granting an interview. they probably added the OAT stuff since they had to send you a letter about the LORs anyway. Just make sure to get those LORs in asap.

i guess only time will tell, and yeah i know the LOR's are important since they cant really judge anyone without knowing them somehow and LOR's provide that.

I'm not worried about anything other than those W's on my transcripts so everytime iget somethign from any school i figure that they dont even care what i have left to submit since my transcript isnt spotless,

No problem 🙂 I received a letter from PCO about the updates too, so I am really anxious and ready to hear something more concrete about my status. But hey, we are still super early in the admissions game. Since I saw that they don't even start interviews until Oct...from what their catalog said...we may be in for a long wait, but who knows. That is where the stress begins

I didnt realize they werent interviewing till October, but if you think about it october is right around the corner, in about 3 weeks. I was under the impression that everyone was submitting their applications at this time and that early applications were those which were sent completed in the begining of August. But i do hope that we are early, speaking for myself i know that i have a less competitive application than others, not because of grades or OAT;s but because of liek i said before having 4 semesters of W's.

Hi!

I Received a letter from PCO too! 🙂 I will have my recommendations out this month and I am planning on taking the OAT at the end of September. Did you all send your recommendations out yet? I know you said we're early but like clutzie16, I too thought that early was the beginning of August.. But then again I'm the perfectionist type, who starts freaking about this type of stuff.

Well, if you all hear anything else from PCO let me know.. and I'll do the same 👍

I will be sending out my recommendations within the week...Atleast I'm hoping that the people will be done filling them out by that time. I'm not taking my OAT;s till the end of October, which is kind of late but im still taking 2 classes that are covered on it.

If i hear anything from anywhere ill definitely let you know!

I just sent in my application online last night to PCO and called today to see if they received it, and they did. I will be taking my OAT in late October as well (along with 3 other OD students in my Kaplan OAT class) so those of u in my situation..I think it's kinda normal. At any rate, PCO said they won't start reviewing the applications until next week..they are just collecting them as they come in now.

Hope we get interviews!

Hey

I'm also taking a kaplan course for th oat now. And ill be taking my oats in late october. I guess they realize people who still have courses in progress and havent taken oats will only do it later in october and thats why they begin reviewing later. WHo knows, all that matters is that we get interviews!
