PCOM: Where are you guys?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am 98 % sure that I am going to attend the PCOM program. I'm sure a week in Jamaica will help me make my final decision🙂

I was going to wait to hear from Drexel MSP, but I'm getting impatient as August gets closer and closer. I'll be moving from Madison, WI out there, so hoping to take care of things ASAP.

I might be there starting this year if I don't get into Bu's program- however I am going to do the certificate program

bumpity bump bump! who wants to drive me to school?

i was accepted into the drexel ims program but i totally turned it down cuz they don't do gross anatomy and pcom does; plus i think i would not be as motivated there as i would be if i went to pcom since i'd be a second class citizen at drexel; plus i could get a part-time job if i wanted to because this is night school; plus i like pcom and want to go to medical school there; plus there's no more pluses...but also no minuses 😀

Ginkoba,

Because I live in the Philly area and Delaware doesnt have similar post-bacc programs, I was strongly considering PCOM. I've read on these forums on how Drexel treats the post-bacc students as second class citizens as well.

How was the interview process? Did they seem laid-back or business-like?

actually, there was no interview at all, you just have to write some short essay answers as to what your goals are etc...but i do believe there is a deadline for applications coming up soon, you should check on the PCOM website. PM if you have any more questions, i'll try to help you as best as i can

Ginkoba4,

I might be attending the biomedical science program if i don't get off the waitlist for their DO program. The deadline for the application is July 15.

So where do you live now? What exact date does the classes start?

Hey Smile80 looks like me and you are in the same gravy boat....😀 Yeah, I'm still on PCOM's waitlist too, I feel kind of dumb cuz I wrote them a letter saying I was going to be in their PCOM Biomed program. I think that makes me a rejected on the waiting list...OH WELL. 😀 Yeah, I applied a while back for programs, I suggest you do it soon because I don't know what the maximum # of people are allowed in the program, maybe someone could ask PCOM and tell us. Right now I'm living temporarily (I'm really from NYC) an hour away from Philadelphia, but I'm planning to move near the King of Prussia area (yay for suburban sprawl) before school starts on Aug 16th. However, orientation for the DO school starts the week before that so we must plan accordingly 😀. PM if you have more questions!
