Peace Corp Veterans here?

Has anyone here been to the Peace Corps prior to entering a clinical psychology PhD program?

If so, what was that transition like? Was it difficult to get back into graduate school?

Just bumping this up --- I wanted to go to the Peace Corps after Undergrad then go to grad school, but apparently there's no one on SDN who's followed this path?

I personally have not followed this path, however one of my professors did. He did the Peace corps for two years and felt like it was pivotal experience in his life. He taught young children to read and write, and was inspired to understand why kids learn at different rates and what developmental factors impacted the rate of learning in children. He ended up pursuing a degree in developmental psychology at University of Texas. It didn't seem to impede his path, rather it inspired him to pursue psychology. Hope this helps!
