Hi, I have taken all three Pearson practice tests (5,6,7). I was wondering if anyone else has felt the last one, #7, was a lot more difficult than the last two except for the Reading section.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I just took it today, and I felt that it was way more difficult than the other two. Math has always been the weakest area for me, but I ended up guessing 10 or more on that section for test 7 because I ran out of time. And I also scored 80-99% somehow...but there is a big difference between those two numbers so...I definitely second this notion. I took #7 two days ago and it caught me off-guard. I remember seeing people talk about the Pearson Practice Tests 1, 2, and 3 and they said that #3 was much harder than the first two. I don't remember what people were saying exactly, but I believe some were saying that #3 was around the same, if not a little harder than the actual test. If anyone would took 1, 2, and 3 can back me up on this, but I believe that was what they said.
So, hopefully this #7 test is a little harder than the actual thing. I don't expect to see too much of a drop. Although I ended up scoring in the 80th-99th somehow, I still felt like I caught off-guard.

Like you said about the test 3, hopefully the real thing is a little bit easier than 7!
Sure thing man! I'm stressing out so much for this PCAT... probably way more than what is healthy lol. Like you said, 80th-99th is a big margin but tbh, I'd be happy to fall anywhere within that range. I just super worried about the Bio Passage Questions and not finishing the Math section and having to guess on a crap ton. I already feel like I'm at some sort of disadvantage for not having taken any OChem or MicroBio. My reading has been pretty piss poor for all three exams and the Chem section has been my saving grace (thankfully it counts the most towards the Composite score). Between the Passage Questions for Bio, the Reading, and time for Math, I'm a nervous wreck lol.
I used Dr. Collins, Kaplan, and 3 Pearsons. This is the score on the Pearson. Kaplan seemed to have more difficult questionsWhat study material did y'all use? Because to score a 80% tile is extremely well versus what I made on the Kaplan practice test. I bombed those because of the reading passages!
I'm super nervous too! I'm taking mine 7/22. When is yours? It's great that you are able to pull off a good chem score without having to take Organic!! Good luck on your exam!
WAY WAY HARDER.Hi, I have taken all three Pearson practice tests (5,6,7). I was wondering if anyone else has felt the last one, #7, was a lot more difficult than the last two except for the Reading section.
I thought the same thing except that I did unsually well on Reading compared to other two tests and that QA was alright for me!WAY WAY HARDER.
I surprisngly thought the QA wasn't bad on this section, but the passage questions for bio and chem really caught me off guard. And I thought the reading was easier too, but then my score came out to be like a 75% on that which also surprised me bc I thought I was doing really well. About to go over it now

I felt like my scores (percentiles) looked better than how I thought I performed. Maybe Pearson takes it into account that their test 7 is particuarly harder.
Hmmm you are probably right then! I didn't really compare how many questions I got wrong vs. the percentile. My bad!really? Everytime I've taken a test its just taken the percent of questions of the 40 ones that count I got correct and put me in that range. Out of the 12, the 2 subtests I didn't get an 80 on, its put me in the 75-95 percentile.

Right. On the real exam, the percentile indicates your score compared to those of other test takers. I thought that's how the Pearson practice tests were graded too, but I think clutchtho's comment is more accurate about how the percentiles are based on your raw percentage alone! So this could be a stupid question but don't they base the percentiles off how everyone else did on the test? So it's not actually how many questions you got wrong but how well you did comparatively to everyone whose taken that test, right? But on the practice tests it just gives me how many questions I got wrong or right and bases it off that.

So do you think that's why on the overall composite it gives you that range bar up top and not an actual %tile? And if that is the case we could expect that we would score somewhere in that range if it was an actual test.Right. I honestly cannot tell you because I don't know the answer. 🙁 I think our actual composite should still fall within that range of our practice. I also read a great number of users on this forum from the past saying that their actual scores were very similar to the Pearson practice tests. That's what we are all hoping, but who knows with the new changes! So, if the Pearson tests are based on raw %age, do you think the percentiles should be higher or lower than what we are getting on the practice tests? Thanks!
I honestly don't know but I agree with you that it should fall within that range if the level of difficulty is comparable. So do you think that's why on the overall composite it gives you that range bar up top and not an actual %tile? And if that is the case we could expect that we would score somewhere in that range if it was an actual test.
Ohh hello man! I'm taking it 07/22 as well...of course very nervous..I'm super nervous too! I'm taking mine 7/22. When is yours? It's great that you are able to pull off a good chem score without having to take Organic!! Good luck on your exam!
i mean i feel the percentlile range is broad enough that more than likely your scores will fall in that range. So do you think that's why on the overall composite it gives you that range bar up top and not an actual %tile? And if that is the case we could expect that we would score somewhere in that range if it was an actual test.
