Did you provide your board scores through PASS? I don't see a section to put them and I called PASS and they said they don't get them unless it's on the Dean's Letter. I also called one of the program's I'm planning on applying to and they told me the board scores should be in the PASS application. Any help would be great.
 
I believe that the boards scores are included in your institution evaluation, so you do not have to add them to your PASS application.
 
Where is everyone putting their Outreach experience and Pedo Externships? Professional Experience or Extracurricular Activities?
 
I put them under professional experience. All other stuff, non-dental related volunteering go under extracurricular activities.

Where do you put publication?
 
For schools that require official NBDE results...does anyone know if the certified NBDE results stated in the Dean's Letter count?
 
I would ask them how they chose a location to set up a practice. I'm not sure how much OR time you are interested in, but ask them how often and how they became affiliated with a hospital? Just some ideas.

When uploading our CVs, can it be longer than 1 page? My friend edited it down to 1 page but I thought it could be longer. Thoughts?
 
Quite a few of the hospital based residency programs on the East Coast require atleast 3 letters of recommendation.But they dont specify if the letters should be directly mailed to the program or submitted through the PASS website. Any thoughts??

Looks like PASS will process two letters per school. What do we do with the 3rd letter?
 
There are a lot of programs ask for NBDE scores sent to the programs, at least according to PASS program search. Do they really want them? It's already in the Dean's Letter.
 
For those of you who submitted your application, has anybody heard back from the programs? Either requesting supplemental info or just stating app complete?

I have heard from several programs requesting supplemental material and have emailed a few to clarify what they need in order for application to be complete.

I would assume undergrad.
 
Did anyone apply to Uni of Washington Seattle. Do they require the application, fee and waiver to be sent before one is invited for an interview or after acceptance ?
Tried emailing program did not get any response

I don't believe they have an application fee. On their website, it says to send the waiver, CV, and 2x2 picture. It sounds like the applicant is to apply to the graduate school and pay an application fee if an interview is granted. Hope this helps!

I'm a practicing dentist in Oregon. I'm considering applying for a pedo residency. A few questions:

Has anyone found a good resource giving info on number of pediatric dentists per state, income, etc?

Do I need the DentPIN to apply? This was not required when I was going through dental school?

Anybody out there considering OHSU?

I'm looking into OHSU ((I went to OHSU)). The program is currently in a "transition" period right now.

Smithn4, how long have you been out?? I'm applying & I've been out for 10 years.
 
Does anyone know what supplemental documents need to be submitted to Nova besides the online application and fee? Thanks [emoji4]

What does it mean that they are going through a transition period? I applied to the program but I don't know a lot about it. I've been out for 3 years, but went to ds in the east.
 
Transition period = a lot of instructors (including the head director) are retiring & they are having issues with getting patients due to the way the OHP works (this is also a problem for the dental school as well))....personally I think they should ask Dr Skourtes for patients from his company ((willamette dental)) since his name is blasted in huge letters on the building. I know they will be just fine but I worry about the experience that anyone would get from there. Don't get me wrong...I'm still gonna apply cuz I went there & what's the best residency out there??...the one you get into!!!
 
Got an email from Ohio State that they will start reviewing applicants and offer interviews mid October. The two interview dates will be Nov 8-9 and Nov 15-16

I submitted mine on July 12! I definitely had to call and email a few evaluators several times to get them to finish everything up. I am still sending out supplemental materials but I'm almost finished. Such a complicated process!
 
How long does it take for the ADA to mail the NBDE or DAT reports? I remember the old days during dental school application it took 3 weeks. Does anyone know if it's the same?
 
It depends on the backlog. Some of the programs I requested the score report for in last week of June just received them so you can never be too sure
 
Mine went thru real fast too but if it does take 3-4 weeks you'll still be fine cuz most schools that want DAT or NBDE don't have a deadline till September or October🙂)
 
Question: A lot of programs on the pass website says to send dental school diploma copy but there official website does not, neither was anything mentioned when I emailed them. Should I still mail copy of
Diploma or is it a requirement once accepted

Some say send it once accepted & some say just send it....follow what ADEA states & if it said upon acceptance then don't send it...if you are still conflicted I'd just send it & if they don't want it they will just round file it anyways
 
Does anyone have any info on or have heard about the following:

1) which school tend to favor applicants with experience ?
2) possible golden number of interviews vs securing a spot

@spark 0722 your best bet would be to call the program, if no luck I would just go by the ADEA website, anyways Program will get in touch with you if anything is missing.Hope that helps
