Is there a place with a list of application/acceptance statistics? I've looked on AAPD site and various program websites and have not seen any.

Don't most programs require NBDE Part 1 scores even to apply? If you haven't taken it, aren't you just wasting time and money?I am a foreign graduate, fresh out of dental school with some shadowing experience. I haven't taken any exams. Applying in this cycle. Very scared
Just a bit curious, how many programs are you all applying to? Is the typical number 15-20?

Just wondering how many other people in the forum applied to some of the LMC programs?
I also applied to several all over the country. I haven't heard anything yet.Just wondering how many other people in the forum applied to some of the LMC programs?
The Lutheran program's deadlines are on Aug 15th .. anybody get interview invites?
Also LMC YakimaGot an interview invite from ECU today via email. Has anyone else heard anything from any other programs?
No, that's why we have post-match. They announce they have a spot open and someone (who is usually interviewed but didn't match anywhere) will take it.if we match to say our third choice and then a spot opens at our second choice and we are next on the programs rank list so we get offered that spot?
I know we sign a contract saying we'll go... but just wondering if that goes along with the MATCH rules.
They fill it through post-match.

Even if the program doesn't require it, will you be able to get a limited dental license from the state without passing Part 1 and 2?Some programs do not require NBDE part 1.
That's what I would think as well. But, I also wonder if people are so worried about just getting in that paying for it becomes a mere afterthought, much like dental school admissions.Common sense would dictate that they are less competitive. I think there is some truth to this, but you still have to keep in mind that hundreds of people are applying for a handful of spots. It's still going to be extremely competitive, just less competitive when compared to a program with a 50k stipend.

i'm sorry, i'm applying late and just have a small question. back when i applied to GPR programs, NBDE scores were mailed. however, now it seems like they only send them electronically.
for programs that require you to send them your NBDE scores, do you call each program specifically to ask for the email address you should send it to? or do you just enter the email address of the Program Director listed on ADEA PASS website?
thank you!
Hypothetically... could you send yourself the official NBDE I & II and DAT scores, and then just forward that to the various programs to save the $36 per request from the ADA?
I did the same, but every time I paid $36 for the ADA to send an email, a small piece of my sanity left with it..I did not venture that route because most of the programs wanted score report directly sent by the testing agency to them.
It's a cash cow for the ADA. Otherwise, your scores could simply be automatically uploaded to PASS because your account is linked to your DENTPIN and your DENTPIN account has all of your testing history right there.I did the same, but every time I paid $36 for the ADA to send an email, a small piece of my sanity left with it..
I don't think soCan programs see where else you applied?
Can programs see where else you applied?
The NYU Lutheran administration knew exactly how many programs I have applied to besides their programs
Just curious as to why they (the administration) even mentioned it or why it matters them how many programs you applied to? Guess I don't know all the politics of this whole application process.
Is it possible she was referring only to other Lutheran programs? I've spoken to a couple GPR program directors who both said they couldn't see where else we'd applied. Maybe it's different for peds, though.Just before the program deadline for the NYU Lutheran programs of August 15th I contacted the central contact email for all their programs. I just asked if all my information had been received and if not if I could know and I would check into it. At that time they responded saying that my application was successfully received and that they could see how many I applied too. I found it odd too. The lady that wrote me was Susan , and her title on the email was :
