Anyone have advice on studying for a peds clerkship?

I really wish I had some sort of Guljon audio and Guljon peds book (something like that only for peds.) heh

And flash cards...

I am reading first aid and blueprints right now, but nothing sticks well.

There is no substitute for getting advice from people who had the rotation before you did, and who did well. One thing I learned the hard way - trying to study as broadly as possible was often not especially productive due to time constraints. If your school uses the standard NBME shelf for peds, then use a text that conforms to the published subject matter list like First Aid. If your school gives an exam based on CLIPP cases, then study the CLIPP cases and ignore everything else. Find out what the people who did well did - that's the only way to go. Re-inventing the wheel earned me some "B" grades in my third year.

Well, if you're asking for advice on how to get a good clinical grade for the peds. clerkship, I think the same principles apply as for any other rotation. Work hard, be knowledgeable, and likable. Now if you're asking for advice on the peds. shelf itself, there's a thread dedicated just for this this topic. Just scroll down... Peds was my second rotation and I was able to honor the shelf by reading case files x 2, pre-test x 2, and Uworld questions.
