I could not agree with you more...I /despise/ iceberg lettuce! It's just all water, no nutritional value whatsoever. There's a pizza place where I come from that has the most amazing pie ever, but their salads are awful--entirely iceberg. Yet all of the customers seem to order them (they don't come with the meal). I always fail to understand why. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone there, being the only one not eating an iceberg-only salad. I want to get up on the chair and yell, "What is wrong with you people?"

On my more cynical days, I look at life and say, what really is there? We can't even prove we exist...so maybe they're attracted to it because in some sense our entire existence is tantamount to iceberg: just a lot of water held in place. *sigh* It's all just iceberg.

I've met Pickles and marctam at NYU, pennquaker at Yale, solitude at Yale, Duke and Harvard, j-weezy at Harvard and... I hope I'm not forgetting anyone else.

Pickles, how could you put me on the spot about you and J? 🙁 Obviously I know one of you better (and for a longer time) than the other. From what I've seen you're both cool, of course, but in your own ways - comparing you two is like comparing apples and oranges. (I am nothing if not diplomatic.)

I stopped using AIM years ago (too much of a waste of time).

I wish I could stay in touch with all the awesome friends I've made on the interview trail. It's been a blast.
