Hi everyone,

I was just curious what percent of IIs have been given out at this point?

Thank you!

Every school is different with regards to their timeline, so it's impossible to tell. The general consensus on SDN is, past Thanksgiving with no IIs, then you really start to prepare for an additional application (even though you should still be doing things right now).

If I was complete at the end of July or beginning of August for most secondaries and received two invites end of August then should I receive more throughout the cycle? I thought getting two that early would show signs of more but it has been silenced for 7 weeks since then

Again, not necessarily. The entire process is random, so keep yourself busy with things that could help a future application and check your email from time to time. There is no method to this game.

You're fine. School's are going to prioritize their in-state applicants and "super-star" out-of-state applicants first. You just don't happen to fit into that category for a lot of your other out-of-state schools, probably. Interviews will come, you just have to patient and wait for the schools to sift through the superstars first.

To actually answer your question, here's a post I recently made:

"Oakland is close to 50% (https://wwwp.oakland.edu/medicine/admissions/admissions-events/)

Michigan has scheduled 351 of around 600 they usually schedule ( https://medicine.umich.edu/medschoo...ool/files/field/docs/5YearAdmSnapshot16_1.pdf andhttps://medicine.umich.edu/medschool/education/md-program/md-admissions)

Tulane's Dean said they've done around 70%

heard Pitt is around 75%

Loyola's dean personally told me middle of September that they've done more than half

Arizona - PHX has offered 189 interviews for around the 300 they usually offer (http://phoenixmed.arizona.edu/admissions)

Wayne state has requested 360 of 670 spots (http://admissions.med.wayne.edu/)

I'm sure some schools have done less and some more, but of all the data I have it seems to be around 50-70 is right."

UMich has an admissions tracker? That is very generous of them.

I wonder what those numbers are now since we're closing in on two months after you wrote this
