Personal Statement Help for DO vs. MD

I am working on finishing up my personal statement and was wondering if I should alter it for my DO vs. MD applications. In college, I co-founded my Pre-SOMA chapter and am the Vice President of the chapter but I have not included this or my specific interest in Osteopathic Medicine in my personal statement. The person who is helping me write the statement said there would be supplementary essays where I could explain my specific interest in DO so I wouldn't have to write two separate essays for MD v DO. I am not sure if this is correct and could use some guidance in regard to this matter.
