Hi. I was having some trouble starting up writing my personal statement for applying to podiatry school for next fall 2012 and was wondering if anyone had any links or examples of podiatry personal statements because I cannot find any targeted towards podiatry schools; most of them are medical schools? I understand that you are simply looking for samples, but whether the samples you saw were for medical school, dental school, etc., it shouldn't matter. You have to write what YOU want and the reasons you want to become a DPM, similar to the reason someone may have written why they want to become an MD or DMD, etc.

The statement doesn't have to be targeted to podiatry, it has to reflect why you have chosen this profession, and that has to come from within your own feelings, IF this field is really your first choice.
