Hello, everyone, I need your advice. I just started working on my personal statement for medical school and I'm stuck. I've blessed to be able to say that I've had no hardships and I do have a lot of passion for medicine and hope to get accepted into a medical school this upcoming period. So my question to you is what would you say is pertinent to include in your personal statement? I'd hate sound repetitive and it seems like that's the route I'm going towards.

And my next question is...I graduated from college in May and I stupidly didn't speak to any professors before I graduated about writing me a LOR in the future. I did have a good relationship with a few of them in school but I haven't spoken to any of them since. Would you say that it's important to have my personal statement completed prior to asking for a letter of recommendation?

I appreciate your time and thank you in advance,
B
