Statement** typing too fast while at work...ha.

I am a non-traditional applicant in a sense. I am 25 and have been out of college for 3 years, working in physical therapy for 1 year and the insurance industry for the past 2 years. I could easily write the whole statement on my past and how it has shaped me.

Do you think I should I focus my personal statement on my past or should I focus it on my potential future of being a pharmacist? I feel like if I focus on my past, I won't have the opportunity to talk in detail about pharmacy. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Balance them out. Show how your past experiences will make you a better pharmacist.

Good advice so far. Just to let you know, SDN has a thread where people volunteer to read and critique other member's personal statements and such. It is at the top of this forum or can be found here. It is also recomenned to have someone at your school read it, for instance a professor or someone in a writing lab.

Full Disclosure: I am one of those volunteers. 😀
