PGY-1 switching to psych

Hi, I am a PGY-1 (anesthesia) wanting to switch to psych starting in PGY-2. What book (hopefully concise) would be good to prepare for going into my psych residency? Also, what would you recommend knowing for interviews to get into a psych residency? Any material you would recommend for that? Thanks!

You need to convey to the program that you are switching into psych because it is your passion and not for some other reason (though since you are already in a residency program this is not so much of an issue). You learn psychiatry in a psychiatry residency- if your intern year included some anesthesiology rotations you probably know more CNS pharmacology than most psych residents anyway
