Where might I find a list of Anesthesiology residency programs that offer PGY2 positions? I know that there are programs that offer spots for people that have completed internships at other places. Also, how would one find open PGY2 spots for programs that may have had people leave or unfilled spots? I am entertaining changing from a primary care residency and am looking for info. Thanks for the feedback.

I heard frieda isn't all that accurate. Dude, the surest bet is to just start calling programs and asking. It must work, because quite a few people get their spots that way. Good Luck!

Contacts are an important source for getting your foot in the door. If there are places you are particularly interested in try to get someone who knows you to go to bat for you. This could even be someone from your medical school. Programs may have open slots that they aren't planning on advertising, but would consider filling if someone good comes along.
