I maintain an active license to practice pharmacy in SC (history of active C.E. to sustain license requirements over many years), but have applied that education to work in industry for many years. Currently living in California (and desiring not to repeat the NAPLEX for license here) our family is now considering a move to NC.

Does anyone know:

1) Can someone with an active license (but having not actively practiced in many years) still fulfill internship requirements (as needed) to demonstrate competency to the board?

If so, having completed (1), is it practical that the board would only require successfully completing the MPJE as a condition to reciprocate?

All of these are questions to obviously address to the board itself, but have found this forum today and would welcome perspective on this from any who may know.

the board here is extremely easy to contact- just call and you will likely end up speaking Jay Campbell directly and he can answer the question the most accurate.
