Hi, some questions if anyone can help,
1. when does pharmcas application cycle open for the 2014 school year?
2. when does the statistical data from 2013 applications update on the school pages?

It opens June 1. I plan on applying for this cycle as well. I'm not sure when the 2013 statistics come out.

Are you including job shadow experiences in extracurricular activities? Is that acceptable? Or are you just discussing experiences in your personal statement?

I do not have a ton of healthcare experience but have done a significant amount of shadowing different pharmacists, so I want that to be known in my application.

Im putting it both in my personal statement and in the pharmcas application. I have my volunteering experience under extracurricular and pharmacy related job under work experience. They are two different things.

But I technically don't have a pharmacy related job, just observational hours...

I listed my shadow hours under extracurricular and in the first line of description stated "shadowed for x hours" with further detail of which kind of pharmacies I shadowed - I shadowed multiple pharmacies in one hospital in one day.

I ended up not mentioning this in my personal statement because I was able to work and volunteer at two different pharmacies. But if you don't have any pharm related work experience I would also mention your shadow experience in your essay and state what you learned.
