Hi everyone:
I'm a fourth year student at Cebu Doctor's University in the Philippines. I'm an American citizen of Filipino descent, and due to financial constraints and an interest in my culture, I chose the option of learning outside of the country.
My goal is to eventually practice in California, where I'm originally from.
I wanted everyone's feedback on this, as I have been having a tough time deciding what I should do:
Should I take the Boards in the Philippines for Licensure, or not?
I have heard that it would help me, because schools in the States are looking for out-of-school setting experience, but on the other hand, I have heard it will only help me a little because some countries do not even offer Licensure exams to their students and they can practice right away; thus the schools in the States cannot determine exactly the level of your education just by being licensed out of the country.
I would be grateful for any feedback you guys have to offer.
Thanks
