Is the algebra based or calculus based physics required for dental pre-reqs?

Whatever one you want. AKA-whatever teacher is easier in your school. I did the calc one since the tests aren't MC like the algebra based one is 😛

I took algebra based 1 and 2 with no problems. I dont think they care.

Definitely algebra based. You don't want to mess with calculus based because these classes are for engineers.

Yup, agreed, algebra based unless you are very excited about calc. Ask around a bit about your specific school though. Your pre-health advisor might say differently. At our university, the algebra based physics uses a lot of healthcare related examples and problems. The calc class uses more engineering and theoretical problems, so the algebra based course is much more interesting to pre-health students.

Algebra based for sure! As a bio major, my undergraduate school required we take algebra based. We could take calc based if we wanted to, but almost no one did. Incidentally, I took calculus in college, but even that was calc for the life sciences. My opinion is don't mess with calc if you don't have to.

Ditto! I took AP calc as a junior in HS, though, and literally haven't had any math classes since then (I took AP stats as a sophomore). As such, I avoided calc like the plague, seeing as I remember zilch! 😀
