Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure pushing out. Osmotic pressure is bringing things back in. In this case you are given the hydrostatic pressure within bowman's capsule. This is the pressure in the direction from bowman's capsule back out to the artery. If this pressure is decreased, then less of the fluid is being pushed back out. That means more stays in, which is an increase in GFR.

Renal compensation for chronic metabolic
alkalosis involves which of the following?

answer lingual artery

if you see from lingual side geniohyoid will be above the mylohyoid and hyoglossus will be laeral to the geniohyoid and above the mylohyoid

Metabolic alkalosis- pH is elevated beyond normal range , thus leading to increased bicarbonates
RENAL COMPENSATION
for metabolic alkalosis, consists of increased excretion of HCO3- (bicarbonate), as the filtered load of HCO3- exceeds the ability of the renal tubule to reabsorb it.
