i'm entering my second year or undergrad. and i'll be taking genetics in the fall and microbio in the spring. should i try and take an anatomy and physiology class sometime this year, maybe instead of micro? or could i get by with just studying some physio and anatomy before the DAT.(which i think i will be taking next summer, after my soph. year)

Try to take physio some how..I am not sure if micro is that important..

do you HAVE to take anatomy before physio?

No, both classess are very complementary. Everyone told me you just "have to take anatomy before physiology (bla bla bla...)", and we have a hard physio course, but in hindsight, you didn't need anatomy at all.

Sure anatomy will help with physiology, but I don't think it made things really any easier.

As far as the DAT goes, physiology will serve you much better.

check the schools you are planning on applying to. quite a few are now requiring micro as a pre-req.

as far as DAT material, physio will be more relative as will cell bio. however, the DAT doesnt really go beyond the scope of your general bio sequence and you can learn everything you need to know for the DAT from cliff's AP bio

I agree that you don't really need anatomy before physiology, but I know at my school it was required that you take anatomy first.
