Picking up license

Anyone know if license verifications can be picked up directly from Springfield, IL? I sent my info weeks ago and they still have not processed it. I was on hold for about 2 hours and the person on the phone was not able to tell me whether this is something that can be done in person.

Anyone have any idea regarding this?
