Argh, I interviewed on the 9th of November and I called them today and they told me I was still under review. I thought it typically took around 5 weeks to get a decisions? Why the long wait?

I suspect that Thanksgiving pushed everything back. I interviewed on the 13th, and I remember being told that if we were lucky we'd hear by Christmas, but it may have to be after that.

What is wrong with your personality? There is no excuse why you weren't accepted to EVERYWHERE. I won't accept anything else and I am being genuine when I say I want to be of a help and not bashing by any means.

Wow I am an idiot. I didn't really read into his profile like I should've before making some sort of comment like that. His profile is a little convoluted though. I thought he wasn't hearing back from a lot of schools but I see now he just started interviewing. I see now. Still, I wonder if people do become too cocky and don't get into places because of it. Or just plain awkwardness.

I interviewed 11/12, and they said we should be hearing back "around the holidays" so hopefully we'll get something next week or so? I haven't called them yet, since I'm giving them the benefit of 8 weeks before I start worrying about it. It hasn't even been 6 weeks yet for me, so I think it's a little to early to worry right?

I find it hard to believe Pitt will feel that people won't attend because of their stats. Pitts is not a Georgetown or BU that people apply enmasse; it's a sweet deal that I'd be more than happy to go to! ARGH, can you sense my desperation 🙂. 😀

Haha, I adore Pitt SO much. It's like my #2 choice of school out of the ones I've interviewed at so far 🙂 So I'll think myself uber lucky to get an acceptance from them! Hope we hear good news soon!

It is very frustrating that most of you do not understand the rules. 😡

No one, is allowed an acceptance to Pitt until I get my acceptance.

Now, with that being said... I have formulated an idea! We can call financial aid and implore about our scholarships and what have you. Based on their reply we should be able to determine our status! 😉 Now, the risk of this is minor. ***They are as follows,

1.) The financial aid people could say, " yes we need you to fill out such ans such paper work." GREAT you're IN!

2.) The financial aid people could say, " WTH are you talking about." < This choice is dangerous because it could lead you to lose you're mind even further, i.e. wondering aimlessly if "did they accept, did they deny." "Should I call again," Do they know I am calling again? What do they think about me calling again? If I call more will that help? If I call less and pray more and or call more but don't pray what could be the implications of that? ;adjf;ladjf;aljdf;lasjfd;k

It was very vague. Did anyone else get this email but not an acceptance letter? Maybe it was a mistake? I interviewed on 11/13.

I got that e-mail and I was accepted about a month ago. So it sounds like you were accepted! It doesn't sound like an e-mail that they'd just send to all applicants.

I got this email today too, and was accepted a few days ago. Perhaps your acceptance letter didn't get to you yet? (I live 40 min. from the school and it only came 2 days ago) Also, it is sent to your permanent address (probs your home).

i got the email today, and i was accepted a while ago. i think it is safe to assume you were also accepted. "Congratulations on being invited to join this elite group."

i dont think they would send you something that says this if you werent accepted.

Letter or Intent/Interest. You send a letter of intent if the school is your top choice and you will definitely attend if accepted. You send a letter of interest to let the school know that you are very interested. They are usually sent when you are placed on a waitlist

Thank god I did too, cause otherwise I might not have made their 2 week deadline for holding the spot. I'm so excited!!! I loved Pitt! 🙂

I wouldn't give up at all, my letter was dated 12/20, so clearly my acceptance was determined days after the others who had been receiving their letters on the 19th. Since you interviewed the day after me, it's entirely possible that your decision is made later, therefore you not receiving the email yesterday. Don't give up!! And good luck!

Oh it wasn't a day it was much later than that. But, I mean they took your information and uploaded it into a computer. You see what I mean. Do you see how obsessive I am being? LOL, Congrats and happy holiday's. Your numbers are amazing.
