So I was planning to take genetics, not as a prereq as my physiology and biochemistry will surely cover any extra biology/chemistry i will need, and I listed that on my AMCAS. However, due to low funding and low enrollment in my section it has been canceled and genetics wont fit in my schedule this semester or my last semester. Should I bother notifying the schools of this change? Its not that I am not up to it, but since many of us put planned courses on our AMCAS and inevitably things like this happen I don't think med schools would require to report something like this unless its a prereq of theres. I would appreciate your guys help on this issue. I have tried to get answers from similar threads but the most recent one I found are from 2006 and I want to make sure not much has changed since then.
Thx!
