Bacteria (and prokaryotes??) do not contain Introns. This is why they produce proteins faster because they dont have to do RNA processing.

Again in cliffs they state that when do recombinant DNA--we need to remove the introns and therefore use processed m-RNA to make DNA via reverse transcriptase because the bacteria will prevent transcription if introns are present.
