1. 3ml of Local Anaesthetic solution consisting of 2% lidocaine with 1:100,000 epinephrine contains how many milligrams of each?

2% Lidocaine is 20mg/ml = 26 mg in 1.3 ml
and 0.13 mg of epinephrine
Correct me if I am wrong

the answer is 60mg lidocaine and 0.03mg epinephrine........but i did not understand how to calculate this?

Use the same rules as the previous poster described. S/he just misunderstood you.

(20mg lidocaine per mL) x 3mL = 60mg lidocaine
(0.01mg epi per mL) x 3mL = 0.03mg epi
