Hello! I am currently committed to Georgetown but just got off the alternate list for Einstein. They're pretty close in class size, ranking, stats...so I honestly really have no idea which to choose. Here are my pros and cons:

Georgetown Pros:
D.C. is a cool place to live
More recognition in general
Solid match list - I want to go into a more competitive specialty
Slightly higher residency director score
More free schedule...some students said there were able to visit their long-distance SO for almost a week every month! (I'm in a LDR)

Georgetown Cons:
D.C. is an expensive place to live
Didn't have the best rep on SDN in the past due to the grading
Administration has a weird negative vibe, making Georgetown seem super intense

-----

Einstein Pros:
School seems to care about students well-being
Affordable housing provided by the school
Student atmosphere seems relaxed
Generous funding for conferences, global health, research
Tuition-free research year if needed

Einstein Cons:
A little ways away from NYC
Slightly lower residency director score
Not as well known in general
Not much info about the school given on interview day
Daily anatomy lab for months on end

If you have any other pros/cons that I really haven't taken into account please let me know! Thanks :)

I just wanted to say Georgetown's matchlist looked insane this year for surgical subspecialties. If you're interested in one of those, then I might choose Georgetown.

They're both equally reputable institutions with equally impressive match lists. You just have to ask yourself where you're a better fit/where you'd be happier.
