Hello, this is my very first post on here... I actually just registered because I was just to worried about my chances..

I am going into my 3rd year of Undergrad this year and I just took my first DAT today.

My scores are
PAT - 21
QR - 20
Reading Comp. - 20
Bio - 19
GenChem. - 19
OChem - 21
TS - 19
AA - 20

My current GPA is 3.75 and my Science GPA is 3.68.

I am a PA resident and the schools I want to apply are

University of Pennsylvania
Kornberg (Temple)
University of Maryland
Ohio State

My DAT score isn't all that great compared to everyone else's scores on this forum but do you guys think I have a shot at these schools? I do have one more year to study for the DAT again but then again, if I score lower than my first attempt, wouldn't it be more disadvantageous for me?

and of course, if I do decide NOT to take the DAT again, I will be applying next year very very early... if that's any beneficial

Please HELP!!!!

This is a tip/help:

RELAX, don't get a heart attack.

You'll do fine, but if your a antsy nancy, dental school will be mess for you when deadlines are up.

I honestly think you'll be fine. It can't hurt to add a few more schools.

You're fine, but as toothshine said, adding a few more schools wouldn't be a bad idea. You could solidify your application with 1 or 2 more points on your DAT.

Your stats look pretty good to me...

I don't know if this is true or not, but I just think that the scores posted in SDN are not really representative of everyone who takes the dat. I mean who wants to post about how they got a 14 in reading right? Like others have said on other threads, just look up schools with acceptances that line up with your scores and you should be fine! You did great on the DAT and now it's time to enjoy the rest of your summer!

OP and I have similiar DAT scores. I got a 19 in bio, 19 gc, but a 24 in OC, and still managed a 19 TS.

OP got 19 bio, 19 gc, 21 OC and still got a 19.
