Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get your feedback. I'm a non-trad who worked on HIV/AIDS surveillance surveys in China and Laos for nearly 4 years after college. I got my master's in public health from Hopkins, and had some experiences working internationally on malaria control and HIV/AIDS prevention and outreach.
My recs are strong from professors and employers, GPA 3.5 from a top liberal arts college, but I took the MCAT and got a 25T (B7, P8, V10), which is terrible.
I submitted my AMCAS and have requests for secondaries but I'm not sure whether it is a worth applying to programs because of my low MCAT. Among the places I sent the AMCAS were:
Einstein
George Washington
OHSU
Emory
Case
Jefferson
Georgetown
Mt. Sinai
Tulane
Yale
I would appreciate any thoughts on this, and whether/where to apply, and if you have any sense of whether there are other schools that might look at my entire application despite my scores.
Thanks in advance for your input.
